High and Tight!

Working at a hair salon has its perks. Free haircuts. Working for a high-end hair studio has even better perks. Free haircuts by incredibly talented and successful hair stylists. My stylist of choice is Tim Dueñas. After being in the industry 10 years, Tim packed up and moved from California to New York and had to start completely fresh. And in the short two years he has been at Arrojo Studio

, he has accomplished more than in his entire career! He started back as an apprentice with Arrojo and with countless photo shoots, fashion shows and blog appearances, he has worked his way up to Top Stylist level charging nearly $100 for a haircut! He is also finishing up his second season with Project Runway as part of their L'Oréal hair stylist team.

 

Since February, Tim has been cutting my hair. He has helped me grow the top out and keep the sides faded high and tight creating an amazing shape and hair style that only looks better and better each time. I have never had so many compliments on my hair then I do now. And what a generous guy, even with his busy schedule he still manages to fit me in every two weeks (sometimes three, I can't be greedy). 

Today was the first time in a MONTH I was able to see Tim and get my fade cleaned up! My hair was so over-grown. It felt so good to watch the shape come alive again while Tim buzzed away at the sides and faded it all in with his technical scissor-over-comb skills! Watching him at work is pure motivation to follow your dreams! It's refreshing seeing someone so passionate about their work, who is also great at what they do!
